This article will serve as a walkthrough for the seventh Soviet mission in the PC game Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 which is entitled ‘To Tame A Living God’. This mission starts with a failed air assault against the imperial emperor’s base. The objectives of To Tame A Living God in Red Alert 3 is to crush the Imperial forces by assassinating the Emperor, which will cause them to fall apart, under the Soviet’s might. The Soviet Commander will be assisted by Moskvin in the struggle against Shinzo, Naomi, Kenji and Yoshiro’s forces during To Tame A Living God in Red Alert 3.

This mission starts after a failed attempt at an air invasion of the imperial emperor’s palace. The only survivors of the drop are a single conscript and war bear, the conscript under player command, with the war bear controlled by the co-commander. This first portion of the mission is more puzzle oriented, requiring careful avoidance of enemy units to make it to the emperor.
Star moving south along the wall until you can go left, then head southwest against the south wall to avoid the deploying turret to the north. When you reach the first set of stairs along this path (to the left of the green objective mark on the mini map) wait for the soldier at the top of the stairs to move, then start heading down. The bottom soldiers will move away at the same time allowing you to hug the wall and make the first right, still sticking to the wall to avoid a patrolling vehicle.
When you get to the garden’s gates, there will be several defenders occupying it, move south through the opening, and a new objective will be given to create a distraction. Move down, destroy the barrel marked, then head back the way you just came and into the now empty garden. Move north and through the hole in the wall to reach the emperor to attack him. The bear will kill the emperor in one hit, but it is revealed that this was just a robotic decoy, and the 2 units are captured by the Imperials.
This begins the second portion of the mission, with MCVs moving in and setting up a starting base to the south of the expanded map, along with some granted Apocalypse tanks. Start building defenses and a crusher crane to repair defending units. Walls can help keep entrances to the base easily guardable. The Imperials will begin their almost constant attacks immediately.
Capture the ore depot north of your starting base with a sputnik and use V4’s to clear the defensive turrets along the ridge northeast of that position. Make sure to build defenses, a crusher crane for repairs and some additional production structures, as this position will draw attacks from the main base.
Work on building a large force, to push straight north, and take out the base in the top left corner of the map first. Using Natasha along with V4 rockets with lots of guarding units allows you to make a slowly moving wave of destruction, that can drop the incredibly heavy defenses at range, since attacking within range of the turrets is costly. Twinblades make excellent scouts for Natasha’s airstrikes and the V4 launchers. Apocalypse tanks make for great units to defend this barrage group.
Once the top left base is taken out, the final two will fall easily, due to your newfound ability to attack those bases from the rear, where both the V4s and Natasha can hit buildings from the higher level area behind those bases. Use this strategy to gut the 2 remaining bases of all essential structures from the rear, which will allow the co commander the opportunity to push in once enough power generators have been dropped to deny the turrets of energy.
Once the final base is destroyed, the map is further expanded to the north, revealing the emperor’s base and palace. Your first task should be to clear out the generators given as the bonus objective. These can be reached via the ground to the right or by the co commander with their naval craft. Soon another bonus objective will be given requiring the rescue of the Soviet conscript and war bear. Send a twinblade in to pick them up.
For the final task in this mission, a slew of twinblades with some MiG escort will go a long way. Once the generators are down, they are free to wreak complete havoc on the imperial base. Clear most of the ground units and production facilities to stem reinforcements before taking out the palace itself.
Once the palace is down, the emperor comes out of the wreckage in a mighty robot suit, however the massive squad of twinblades prove incredibly effective, and are capable of downing him in seconds. Once the emperor has been killed, the mission is victorious with the Imperial empire toppling.
