Moonshine and home brew seem to be making a comeback, and I think the government is behind it. For the holier than thou crowd, and clarification purposes, moonshine is that stuff that blows your head off, and home brew is the stuff that blows your roof off. “Moonshining” has been around since…well, moonshine, but why is it so popular now? I believe its all part of a grand left wing extremist conspiracy to counteract the Tea Party movement. What better way to bring someone around to your convoluted way of thinking than to ply them with liquor? Mock me if you will, but a country full of glassy eyed gigglers would be a lot easier to manage, don’t you think?
Roger Clemens has been indicted by a federal grand jury for lying to Congress. He testified that he never took steroids. He denies the charge and is looking forward to his day in court. Well, shame on Roger if he did in fact use performance enhancing drugs but, let’s think about this for a moment. Congress accusing Clemens of lying? Mother of God, it doesn’t get any more ironic than that. Ya just can’t make this stuff up.
Julia Roberts stepped in it, literally. She appeared at the premiere of “Eat Pray Love” after stepping into a “curtainesque” dress. Shame on Julia. What was she thinking? No wonder respect for US is plummeting, when we allow representatives of this country to run around looking like window dressing. What will she do next? Wear clogs? Good for her though, for knocking the petty stuff like Iran’s nuclear ambitions and the economy off the front pages.
Speaking of clogs, have you seen the latest in running shoes? They mimic running barefoot. So, let me get this straight. All the money spent on mega bucks running shoes after all these years, and now it seems the “barefoot” running experience is safer and makes more sense. I just can’t figure out why people would spend more mega bucks on virtual barefoot running shoes. Could someone tell these dopes they already have bare feet?
Twenty four gang members from Maine, including Somalia nationals entering the US seeking asylum, were arrested by ICE on a variety of charges. Interesting that the article ends with this:
“ICE and our law enforcement partners in New England are determined to rid our streets of criminals such as these,” said Bruce M. Foucart, special agent in charge of ICE’s Office of Homeland Security Investigations in Boston. “Transnational gang members and their associates are on notice that they will be arrested and brought to justice.”
My question would be that since some had extensive prior criminal records, and are members of the True Somali Blood street gang, what the hell are they still doing here? Sometimes I wonder if we shouldn’t be jailing the judges who let these criminals off, for aiding and abetting, and miserable and outrageous failure to protect the public.
