There are many restaurants that deliver, especially in the United States. Many of which include pizza chains, and some local restaurants. This is a benefit because all you have to do is call the number and they will be at your residence in less than an hour and in most cases, less than thirty minutes. In Thailand, there are many restaurants that deliver with little to no delivery fee and they also arrive, most of the time, within thirty minutes. There are a few of the more formal restaurants and some of the local shops that will not deliver, but there are more restaurants that deliver than those that do not.
McDonalds is one of the restaurants that deliver in Thailand. Just press 1711 and the phone will ring to a McDonald’s call center. Most of the operators speak English, but not fluently and they will not understand if you only give them a set number (meal number), but rather require you to tell them the name of the set. Just like any other restaurant chain, they will offer you an upsize or a dessert, and sometimes, they are selling DVD’s and they offer them as well. Their delivery charge is less than a dollar and they usually arrive within twenty minutes. The fries sometimes get soft, but for the most part, the food tastes just like it tastes inside McDonalds.
Kentucky Fried Chicken is another of the restaurants that will deliver in Thailand. They do avoid going to some areas of the city and they cut off their delivery sometimes before their posted time, but if you want a bucket of chicken, you can call 1150 and get it within forty five minutes. The chicken is very good and the delivery charge is around fifty cents.
Burger King, which doesn’t have as many branches as the two mentioned above, does offer delivery and they also avoid certain areas. Burger King in Thailand gives very good portions and they will leave you very satisfied. Call 1112, which is the same number as Pizza Company, and ask for Burger King and they will take your order and arrive shortly thereafter.
Swensens, which specializes in ice cream in Thailand, also offers delivery services. Their delivery is limited to the buckets of ice cream, but the important thing is if you are craving ice cream and you cannot get out of the house, they will get to you and for a very minimal delivery charge.
Thailand creates more jobs, but for less money by creating so many delivery jobs and this is more convenient for the customer.
