Despite the general conception that liquid eyeliner is hard to apply, I find that it works the best for me. The liquid eyeliner I love the most would definitely be liquid eyeliner felt-tip pens. They simplify the application of liquid eyeliner so much. There is less mess, more refinement, and they are convenient.
I love the E.L.F. eyeliner pen, but it is too much trouble to order and pay for shipping. So when I saw a drugstore brand that had tons of good reviews, I decided to try it out. I went to my local Walgreens and paid $1.99 for this eyeliner. I went home to try it out.
Reviews of this product said it was pigmented and long-lasting. I got neither of these with my eyeliner. The black of the eyeliner was black, but certainly not an intense black. This was not such a great problem for me, as I could always set the eyeliner with a black eyeshadow. The biggest problem is that the eyeliner did not stay. The ELF eyeliner stays for me without an eyeshadow setting it. This eyeliner does not. Within a few hours, the line is gone! I don’t know where my makeup goes when I go to the bathroom before lunch. It really is shocking how fast this eyeliner fades.
This is really too bad, as I did like other aspects of the eyeliner. The applicator tip is very thin, making application fairly easy. In addition, the tip is very long, so you can really vary the pressure you use to achieve different effects. The eyeliner is very versatile, making thick and thin lines with ease, and the eyeliner is perfect sized for taking with you.
The biggest letdown was the last of this eyeliner. It is possible that mine came from a bad batch, but I really am disappointed with this purchase. I think that I will just save up to buy another eyeliner from ELF in a few different colors. I will stick to those.
