The 2010 Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly Michigan is a very unique activity to attend for the whole family. It is going on every weekend from August 21st thru October 3rd, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. It is located in Holly Michigan on 12600 Dixie Highway just off of exit 106 (Dixie Highway) on I-75. There are games, events, live entertainment, food and drink, and weekend themes. You can dress up in your favorite medieval outfit and will fit right in with the crowd. When is the last time you had a turkey drumstick to eat? have you ever seen a fair maiden? Have you ever seen someone wear chainmail? Have you ever seen jousting? Have you ever tried to climb a Jacobs ladder? Have you ever been heckled by a jester? Well, this is place that you can try and see all of that. The cost to get in is $19.95 for and adult, $10.95 for a child, and students/seniors are $17.95. You can also purchase season passes.
The Theme Weekends
Royal Ale Festival

High Seas Adventures
There are cast and stage acts and a variety of musicians. The musicians are not your average musicians.
Games and Rides
There is a variety of old time (1500’s style) rides and a host of good old fashioned type games. You can even challenge yourself to climb a Jacob’s Ladder. But, don’t fall off because everyone will be laughing at you.
There are a variety of vbedors selling everything imaginable including Renaissance items. It is truly fascinating browsing all the vendors shops. Be prepared to haggle if you buy something.
There is an array of food including food cooking competitions to enter. I personally enjoy the Turkey drumstick.
Dressing the Part
You are encourage to dress up in your favorite Medieval outfit. You will see fair maidens, knights, jesters, and even the town fool. Some of the outfits are truly amazing.
If you have never been to a role-playing type festival before, then you and the family can have some fun at this event. There is good food, good entertainment, and good times. You are sure to make it a memorable one-of-a-kind event if you go. I have been going to this event for the past several years, and I would not miss it for anything in the World. Enjoy!
