Aussie products have been around for many years, and I have tried several of their other products. While shopping one day, I found the Aussie Moist products, and because of the great value, I decided to give them a try. I was a little reluctant to buy the 33.8-oz bottle, because I never stick with a product for long. But because they were such a great deal, I couldn’t pass it up. So home with me they went.
Upon opening the bottles I immediately noticed the amazing coconut smell. Being a California girl, I am a sucker for the tropical and fruity smells. So I couldn’t wait to use them.
The Aussie Moist Shampoo was nice and creamy, and lathered up well. After rinsing my hair, I noticed that my hair felt soft and clean. And smelled amazing too.
The Aussie Moist Conditioner was thick and creamy, and smelled like coconut, like the shampoo. I applied a liberal amount, paying special attention to the ends, and let it sit for a few minutes. After rinsing the conditioner out, my hair felt even softer and smoother.
After drying my hair, I noticed that my hair was smooth and shiny, and smelled wonderful.
I tend to style my hair differently everyday, and my hair is constantly being processed and heat styled in my line of work. After using the Aussie Moist Shampoo and Conditioner daily, for a few days, I would have to say that for the price, the duo is a fair bargain.
However, as far as the moisturizing properties go, it does not even begin to compare to some of the higher quality shampoos and conditioners that I generally use. With that being said, I passed my products along to my daughter who has beautiful extra long hair. She absolutely loves the smell, and because her hair is “normal” and is not processed or heat-styled, the shampoo and conditioner worked great for her. She continued to use them for almost six months before they ran out. And her hair is still as long and beautiful, as ever.
Overall I would say Aussie Moist Shampoo & Conditioner is a great buy for those with normal, non-processed hair. But if you are looking for something to add a lot of moisture to your mane, this is probably not your best buy.
I picked up my 33.8-oz bottles of Aussie Moist Shampoo & Conditioner for $5 each at Walmart.
