I was a bit angered by Febreze’s limited edition line up this year. I snagged a bottle of their Pumpkin Harvest & Fall air effects thinking it was new to the fall collection, only when I got home I realized this was the exact same bottle they released last year as a limited edition.
Granted the scent is fantastic, I would have liked something new. The following trip to Walmart I noticed there was something new on the shelf, and like the pumpkin fragrance, this one was also limited edition. Cranberries & Frost. I am nearly positive though that this one was on shelves a year ago, I just didn’t pay any attention to it.
The bottle itself is eye catching, pretty, and honestly had it not been for that I likely would have passed it up. The iced snowflakes on the bottle though caught my attention, and I figured this scent would be a lovely mix of fresh cold cranberry juice and freshly fallen snow.
My assumptions were correct, as Febreze Air Effects Cranberries & Frost smells just like the 2 combined in 1 bottle. A delicious fruity sour cranberry fragrance hits the senses first, followed up by a refreshing snowy glaze, that truly brings in an essence of the upcoming winter season.
The scent after a while however began reminding me of something I used to eat as a kid, some sort of gooey candy, and while trying to pin point exactly what the was, my boyfriend yells out, ‘gummi bears!’
He nailed it. Cranberries & Frost smells just like red gummi bears. Granted this scent may be a bit juvenile for some folks, it truly is a lovely scent, and it manages to freshen up the home very quickly.
As far as having a lasting scent, anyone who is a fan of Air Effects knows well enough that the fragrances are not very long lived. However Febreze seems to be paying attention to what their customers want when it comes to fragrance, because this particular winter seasonal delight packs a decent long lasting scent.
For $2.50, you really cannot complain, seeing that there is not anything to complain about when it comes to this particular fragrance. This scent is nice, it has a winter mood enhancing aromatherapy like attribute to it, and it lasts rather long. The scent also spreads, and a little really goes a long way.
