My hair already has a lot of volume on its own, however there are times when I want even more volume for more thick, lush looking locks. While some shampoos and conditioners work really well, others just add puff and frizz, and consider that volume. Well there is a huge difference between healthy volume, and kinked frizz.
When I came across a low priced bottle of Infusium 23 Volume Builder Shampoo, I snatched up the bottle, and hoped that the volume it added to my hair was the good kind of volume, and not the frizzy puffed out electrical shock type of volume.
Infusium 23 way, way back in the day used to have such a gorgeous scent to their leave in serums. Like a musky light and sweet fragrance that would last and last. They apparently switched up their official scents, but it truly is not for the worse, it’s nice, but I miss the old school scent.
Infusium 23 Shampoo: Volume Builder has a clean scent to it, with no notes of anything special. Just a clean light fragrance that does not really last very long. It’s still good, but I know they can do better.
The shampoo itself is pretty thick, and has a silver cream pearl coloring to it, which is pretty when squeezed out in a load in your palm. It spreads easily and works up into a delicious lather that is both moisturizing to the touch, and silky as well. I liked how it felt, and liked even more that it did not leave my hair feeling dry after I rinsed it out.
I used this volume builder shampoo with Infusiums Moisture Replenisher Conditioner and the results were fantastic. My hair was not at all frizzy. It was left soft, very shiny, and the volume, although not as thick as I would have liked, it worked well enough. I was mostly just happy that my hair looked healthy, and shiny without an ounce of frizz.
Infusium 23 Shampoo: Volume Builder is an excellent shampoo. It may not get you the stand out volume you were hoping for, but it does give the hair a little oomph without sacrificing your locks to frizz.
