I hate my flyaways and poofy hair when I blow dry my hair. So I bought Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine anti-humidity styling cream to see if it would help me out, and I love it!
The scent alone is reason enough to buy this fairly inexpensive product. I think I paid a little over $4 for a 5 ounce bottle, and since a little bit goes a long way, I’ll have this stuff for a while. The anti-humidity cream has a citrus-y scent that lingers in the hair all day long and smells just yummy. I would use it even if it didn’t work just for how much I enjoy the smell.
Does it work? Hell, yes it does, at least for me. I put a peas-sized amount of the white creamy scented stuff in my palms and rub it evenly throughout my hair before I blow dry it, and the result is super shiny locks that stay in place without being weighed down or greasy. I’ve used as much as a dime-sized amount for super humid days and still get a full shiny look without a sticky, greasy appearance to my hair.
I like to use this stuff when my hair dries naturally too to keep my flyaways at bay when I just want to let my natural waves do their thing. I hate hair spray and hair gels, so this stuff is great in that it keeps hair tame without giving it that stiff look that I can’t stand. It even allows me to straighten my hair more successfully (on the rare occasions I actually dust off the straightener) and if I want to curl my hair (another rarity), this sleek and shine stuff is just sticky enough to allow me to get the curls I want without having to hair spray my hair after wards.
Did I mention I love how shiny my hair is using this stuff? It’s like my head just glows, and I love how it makes my hair shiny, smooth, and “smell good” without looking like it can’t be touched. This stuff also keeps my hair from tangling during the day, so it’s almost like a conditioner and styler all in one. I usually get huge rats in my hair during the day when I wear it down, but not when I’m using this stuff.
If you hate hair products, Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine anti-humidity styling cream may be just the product to use. It is more like a shiny leave-in conditioner than anything else, and holds hair just enough to keep the flyaways at bay and keep your hair smooth and shiny and delicious smelling without making it look goopy and sticky and stiff. I love it.
