Robert Pattinson and Kristen Setwart’s time is worth $60,000 to at least one Twilight fan. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were the subject of an auction on eBay, which ended with a rally to $60,000. What was the auction for? Well, one lucky fan gets to go to the set of Breaking Dawn sometime between February and March and spend the day on set.
The proceeds of the auction benefit Stand UP to Cancer, so it’s a noble cause. This was far from a vain waste of money – it was money well spent on a great cause. In addition, when you think of the superstar status and the ability to actually see the cast working in person is priceless.
The costs includes airfare and accommodations to Vancouver where the set is. It’s only a day, but that’s still something Amazing.
Twilight’s next installment, Breaking Dawn will be released in two parts. The first part is due out during November of 2011 – over one year away. This is a major release and one that shouldn’t be overlooked. There are plenty of tidbits of information desired about the show, including the so-called birth scene where Edward gives Bella a “Vampire C-Section.”
There’s no word on if the fan will get to see the filming of THAT scene, I doubt it – but that would be historical in a sense.
The auction was at $40,000 and then rallied to $60,000 by the end of the auction during the last moments. There were over 100 bids, so this is far from a low-profile auction.
Would you spend $60,000 to hang with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart? Do you think they are dating?
