I love just about fragrance Ralph Lauren does. He’s so good at it.
I thought I was going to hate Romance. Especially because the Ralph Lauren company and the Calvin Klein company (another one of my favorite designers) were going at it over the design of the bottle. Ralph Lauren thought that the Calvin Klein Eternity bottle was a copy of his Romance bottle. That dispute left a bad taste in my mouth. It made Ralph Lauren look stupid.
Anyways, the perfume smells great. It’s described as having “velvety woods, exhilarating florals, and seductive musk“. I definitely smell the florals. It smells like jasmine, magnolia, and gardenia. I love white flowers. That blend is perfect for me.
After it sits a while, you also smell lemon and aloe. It smells really oriental. It reminds me of green tea. Speaking of oriental, it smells like a perfume Avon has called Haiku, which is an Asian inspired perfume. It smells great, too.
After Romance sits a little while longer on your skin, it starts to smell powdery and musky. More like gold musk, I think. You would assume it would be white musk because of the white flowers, but the musk doesn’t smell like white musk to me.
This perfume is very romantic and feminine. I love a great floral fragrance because I’m usually not into florals. This one is perfect. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars.
It’s $20 for .34 oz., $45 for 1 oz., and $62 for 1.7 oz.
