Did Sarah have another Palin brain freeze? Remember when she couldn’t name a newspaper she read?
Recently Bill O’reilly interviewed Sarah Palin about Karl Rove’s bashing of Christine O’Donnell. Evidently Miss O’Donnell defeated Rove’s candidate and Rove went on a rant on a previous Fox interview saying that Christine couldn’t win the general election because of kooky statements or beliefs she held, according to Rove. Seeing as Palin endorsed O’Donnell, she evidently felt obligated to defend her against Rove.
Bill seemed to be trying to smooth things over between Palin, Rove and O’Donnell, saying all three were close in their views after all. He obviously sees the dangers of infighting in the GOP. Sarah was having none of it though. It was at that point that O’Reilly brought up Palin’s support of former New Hampshire Attorney General Kelly Ayotte. He couldn’t come up with her name and kept asking for help but Sarah offered none and just sat there stone faced as if she couldn’t hear him.
At first it seemed as if this was just another example of a Palin brain freeze but after further research I came up with a couple other hypotheses. First, Ayotte was appointed by a Republican Governor but then later was appointed by a liberal Pro Choice Democrat Governor. Was Sarah regretting her support of Ayotte and just refused to even say her name?
The second bit of information I found was that the Huffington post is saying that Palin’s endorsement hurt Ayotte’s chances. Was that the reason she didn’t want to be linked to Ayotte?
The way I see it there are three options to the blank stare of Sarah Palin in the O’Reilly interview. Brain freeze, found out her candidate was too liberal, or didn’t want to hurt her chances by being associated with her. What do you think?
