The 2010 Seattle Seahawks schedule is more popular than ever. Fans are looking to the 2010 Seattle Seahawks schedule to debate whether the team has a shot to perform better than they have the past two years. After a very impressive week one victory over the San Francisco 49ers, fans have been searching for the Seahawks schedule in order to get involved with the team once again. All of the dedicated Seahawks fans know that the team is heading in a new direction this season, but if week one was any indication of things to come, there is certainly good reason to be excited about the future of this franchise. That is a welcome change for fans, that have had to watch some awful football that led to a combined 9-23 record in 2008 and 2009.
The schedule for Seattle might be seen as an easier one, as they get to play six games against the NFC West. That first game against the San Francisco 49ers ended up being a great beginning to the season, because it not only put Seattle ahead in the head-to-head match-up, but it gave them a tie-breaker lead in the division at this point. Now Seattle can look forward to two games against the St. Louis Rams and two more against the Arizona Cardinals before the season finishes. Amongst the other games on the Seahawks schedule are the underperforming Oakland Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, and Carolina Panthers. All three of those teams were terrible last season, and should give Seattle a good chance to post a very nice record in 2010.
Coming into the 2010 season, the Seattle Seahawks really looked like they were in rebuilding mode for the year. A new coaching staff, many new players on the roster, and of course a host of rookies coming from the 2010 NFL Draft into the league have all seemed to provide an extra spark to Seattle right out of the gate. What will be important for these Seattle Seahawks, is to not get too wrapped up in how well they played in week one, and stick to the game plan of playing great defense and staying under control on offense. If the Seattle Seahawks can do that, the NFC West could be ready for the taking. Once into the 2010 NFL Playoffs anything can happen, so what Seattle has to do is buckle down, win the NFC West, and then hope for a good seeding in the first round that will allow them to host the Wild Card game in Seattle.
