Lots of drama was wrapped up in this season finale. Audience viewers were on the seat of their pants in trying to find out who was going to walk out the winner. Viewers wondered which housemate would snag the 500,000 prize.
Alliances would be discovered, secrets would be exposed, and the winner revealed. However, before then, lots of drama would be ensued. To make a long story short, Rachel confronts her rival, Monet, who called her a “skank-ho” and Mike makes a public confession about the lies regarding his wife being sickly. Viewers learn that he stands behind his maneuver, this tactic of deception was just part of the game, even if it did upset concerned viewers.
Even though housemate, Lane, received much alliance from Meow-Meow, he was still defeated. Nevertheless, he didn’t go home empty-handed taking the second prize of $50,000. Unfortunately, there is no prize to be won for Enzo, even with his casting vote, which made the final call and putting him in third. Oh, poor Enzo.
Instead, $25,000 was given to Britney. She was also given the title, “America’s Favorite Player.” Seems like the money will come in handy especially since her Arizona home had recently gone through a fire.
In the end, the final winner was Hayden. Viewers and even contestants were surprised by this revelation. Hard to believe, especially since Hayden seemed to lack the confidence that he would be the winner. Just ten days prior, Hayden stated in the diary room, “When I busted into this joint, did you ever think I would get this far?”
I guess Matt was right about Hayden, “flowing locks, golden tan, and All-American good looks” really did come in handy making the 24 year old college student the winner. Ah, such Big Brother trickery. Charm and good looks seem to be the best manuever in this year’s season finale.
