If you like to sew, you may find that you have lots of bits and pieces of ribbon in your stash of leftovers. You can turn those ribbon scraps into fabric!
Take two lengths of ribbon and place them side by side. You can also overlap them just a bit, but if your ribbon is too narrow, side by side is fine.
Sew a narrow zig zag stitch the entire way down the two pieces of ribbon, making sure the edges of the ribbon is in the center of the zig zag. This will attach the two pieces of ribbon. Then add another piece of ribbon, and another, and another, until you have a wide piece of ribbon fabric.
If you don’t know what color thread to use, you can always use clear nylon thread. It works well with the ribbon and is very durable.
You can use your ribbon fabric for small sewing projects such as cell phone cases, eyeglass covers, purses pouches, small gift bags or whatever you can dream up!

Once you start turning ribbon scraps into fabric, you might find yourself shopping for fancy ribbon just to turn it into fabric.
