Don’t let Sharia laws infest the United States. Though less than perfect, the United States has so far been able to defend minorities such as blacks, women, and gays, by upholding the rights of U.S. citizens as promised in the original Constitution of the United States. Now extremist religious groups are fighting to get things their way while ignoring the spirit of the law of our nation.
Without knowing details, the Sharia law may sound rather harmless. It could appear that Muslims simply want their rights to practice their religion. But the inherent tenets of that religion support violence which constitutes torture, rape, maiming and more.
More than this, the Muslim religion wants to eradicate all other religions. Perhaps this is what the government had in mind when disallowing any future building of mosques in Norway
Muslims have protested in England attempting to introduce the Sharia law onto the books. They tried the same thing in Quebec, Canada and were rejected.
The rights of people to practice their religion in the United States is already in the constitution. What more do Muslims want?
Why should we be against the Sharia law? Because it goes against the spirit of the United States Constitution. A man is allowed to beat his wife and treat her in general like some kind of live stock. Gays may be tortured and hung according to the Shariah. Just how far does it go?
” In New Jersey, a man who was brutalizing his wife, torturing her and raping her, used Shari’ah Law as his defense. The Defendant claimed he was “operating under his belief [Shari’ah] that, as a husband, his desire to have sex when and whether he wanted to, was something that was consistent with his practices and it was something that was not prohibited.”
The United States has always welcomed immigrants into this country asking only that they obey our laws and follow our constitution. This is the spirit of open arms and the offering of religious freedom.
The government is supposed to protect its people, not support those who would tear down the constitution. Here’s an example of what is going on with Sharia and how it works.
Begin the volley here with the 755 amendment:
On November 2, 2010, Oklahoma courts, in regard to an amendment which passed overwhelmingly insuring that Oklahoma courts “shall uphold and adhere to the law as provided in the United States Constitution, The Oklahoma Constitution, the United States Code, established common law, the Oklahoma Statutes, and rules promulgated thereto. . .” The amendment goes on to particularly make an exclusion of the legal precepts of other nations or cultures, pointing to the Shariah law, and specifically considering this to be an international law.
A practicing Muslim, as self described, became a plaintiff who came forward to fight this amendment. He joined up with CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) seeking to prevent the passage of Oklahoma’s 755 amendment.
“U.S. Border Control and U.S. Border Control Foundation filed an Amicus Curiae brief in the United States District Court for the Western Division of Oklahoma in opposition to the Plaintiff’s motion for a temporary restraining order (TRO) to stop certification of a constitutional amendment, State Question 755. Joining USBC in the brief are The Lincoln Institute and the Conservative Legal Defense and Educational Foundation”.
Muslim groups have already gone together attempting to replace laws guaranteeing our American freedom as promised by our Constitution. The situation feels very threatening considering the history of religious wars that contrast what the United States stands for in an evolution of consciousness. The Sharia would drastically alter what the United States Constitution stands for.
