His career just keeps getting more awesome, and Shia LaBeouf says his upcoming film “Transformers 3” is the best of the trilogy.
The “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” actor told press he’s confident the movie will wow the fans of the series.
Shia explained, “This is, and I’m not BS-ing you, it’s the best movie we’ve made of the three by far.”
“The script is the best script we’ve had. The second movie, we were in the middle of a writers’ strike, writing on the go. The first move, we had the discovery, and this movie really is the fruition of the rhythm we’ve created out of five years working together. I’m super proud of this movie.”
LaBeouf added, “There’s no more for me, at least. I’m never going to do it again. This is the last one, so it’s balls-out. This is the best movie we’ve made, period, and that’s a unanimous decision by everybody. The sizzle reel that [Bay] has been showing everybody on set, it’s so outrageous. I’m very, very, very, very proud of it.”
As for “Wall Street 2”, LaBeouf thinks that Director Oliver Stone did an amazing job, saying “out of 10, he’s a 10.”
LaBeouf continued to tell MTV News, “In the ’80s and ’90s, [Oliver Stone] was the most dangerous filmmaker alive. It’s wild. His maturation has softened him now, but at least in the movies that are in that box set, you not only [get] entertainment, but you also get outrageous information. There’s an education process. How many directors do you know have college courses based on them in film schools? It says something about him.”
The actor also gave kudos to co-star Michael Douglas, who helped produce “Money Never Sleeps.”
Confident Douglas will beat throat cancer, Shia told press, “He is a wolf! He’s a strong man.”
LaBeouf also noted that he was impressed at how Michael dealt with his son Cameron’s drug bust. “He showed up on set and he was dealing with a lot, but never was it ‘woe is me.’ Ever.”
