With five minutes at the beginning of your day, you can put beef and a few other ingredients into a crock pot for a delicious meal at the end of your day. This hearty dish delivers tender meat and a tasty gravy.
* 2 – 2 1/2 lbs. boneless round steak
* 1 – 10 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
* 1 packet dry onion soup mix
* 3/4 cup of water
With a large knife and cutting board, divide the round steak into serving-sized pieces. Place them into a 6 quart crock pot. Depending on the shape and cut of the meat, you may need to alternate and layer the pieces.
In a medium mixing bowl, put in the mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix, and water. Stir until they are well combined. Pour the mixture over the steak. There is no need to stir.
Cover and cook on LOW for 7-8 hours.
If you have a shorter amount of time to prepare this dish, cover and cook it on HIGH for three hours, and then LOW for one hour more. Check the meat to see if additional cooking is needed.
If you have little time to get the rest of your meal ready, make instant rice to serve with this dish. Heat up a steam fresh bag of vegetables in the microwave and dinner is ready.
