“I will vote against any bill that takes Social Security tax dollars and diverts them to any other purpose than Social Security Benefits. Rob Simmons
Social Security needs to end because it is being used to manipulate the American People. Social Security was a well intentioned political initiative of the Franklin Roosevelt Administration. It was one response to the Great Depression. Social Security has become a quagmire of political wrangling and manipulation. Social Security needs to end.
Social Security needs to end because politicians use it as a political tool of leverage. Manipulative preacher pastor want to be prostitute politicians of the former one nation under God republic assume any necessary position on Social Security beneficial to stay in power. Social Security needs to end.
Are Elected Politicians Honorable
Social Security needs to end because elected officials play by a different set of rules. They have one for themselves and another for the people they have been elected to serve.
The President, Members of the United States Senate, and Members of the United States House of Representatives are exempt from Social Security withholdings. Their entitlement to salary does not end when they leave office.
How Much Do Members of Congress Make by Don White reveals how America’s elected grant benefits and entitlements to themselves and their families. They benefit themselves while keeping the people squabbling over the crumbs called Social Security. Don White wants to remind America’s public servants who they work for. White suggests their salaries and benefits are immoral at the least and criminal at the worst. Social Security needs to end.
Social Security Withheld Wages are Not Government Property
Social Security needs to end because withholdings for the fund come from the work of wage earners without their consent. To work, you must allow for the wages to be withheld. Workers may never experience the benefit of their wages withheld.
Earned wages have been withheld for Social Security from workers for the better part of the last 100 years since the Social Security Act. Employers are also held hostage to the practice for which they are entitled no privilege consent. Employers are mandated to match the employee contribution. Social Security needs to end.
Social Security needs to end because the fund is not managed like a retirement investment. Withheld wages are not government property. If money is placed in a savings or an investment account, a regular accounting report on the activity of the investment is made to investors.
Social Security needs to end because the administrators of the fund provide no such accounting. Social Security provides occasional reports of how much has been taken from wages earned by wage earners during the worker’s life. Social Security needs to end.
No bank or financial institution can work like that and maintain any level of credibility. Workers can have no idea what their withholdings have generated from the beginning years of withholding until beginning to receive payments through the end of life.
Social Security needs to end because investment is not the government’s area of specialization. Social Security is a bad idea. It has outlived its originally intended utility. Social Security needs to end.
End of Life Consequences
Social Security needs to end because end of life consequences reveal other relevant concerns for American citizens. At end of life, amounts not collected by the person that had wages withheld should be returned to the decease estate unless bequeathed with consent to the federal government. For example, a working person has funds taken for the 40 years of their work life and then dies before beginning to receive payments should not experience that as a loss for their estate. Social Security needs to end.
Social Security needs to end because it is no longer logical in any social or legal context. Funds should be available to the deceased’s heirs until such time as the investment has been totally liquidated or heirs choose a one time distribution of those assets without penalty.
This would prevent a deceased person’s family to receive benefits in excess of what has been withheld plus accrued interest. Social Security is not a practical idea. Social Security needs to end.
An Alternative to Social Security
Social Security needs to end if government has the desire to profit share with citizens. Let the government set aside proceeds from its profits and collections. This could happen if intended to benefit citizens from the end of their work life until the end of life.
Let the profit sharing be fixed the consumer price index or gross national product for shares to be distributed nationally to citizens as tax rebates or discounts to households earning under $150,000 per year or its established equivalent by the General Accounting Office. This process should have no mandate of government for demanding withholding from earner wages.
Social Security needs to end because benefits are not an entitlement. Social Security is not a charity. No person’s withholdings or the interest derived of them should go to benefit any persons or households not contributing to the fund. Social Security needs to end.
Social Security needs to end because Social Security should be off the table for political exploitation. Make Social Security officially make its last distribution by year’s end, 2059. Make no continued withholdings from worker wages after December 31, 2019. Surplus funds shall find their way to the individuals, families, and estates to which they belong. Social Security needs to end.
Social Security needs to end because the federal government has no business in individual retirement plans for anyone other than its own employees. Social Security is a bad idea and it has outlived its utility. Social Security needs to end.
