There comes a time every now and again when a movie is so bad, you just have to watch it anyway. While there have been movies like this since the very beginning of film creation, I would like to list off a few of the worst ones from the past decade.
A story about a woman (Halle Berry) brought to life by a magic cat and therefore develops catlike powers. While this idea seems like a bad one to begin with it would have been okay if this story had a storyline that was not so predictable and a better plot. For the most part you are just wondering when something was going to happen.
As if we weren’t tired of seeing Bennifer enough in the tabloids, these two decide to do a movie together in which Ben Affleck is a hit man and Jennifer Lopez is a gangster. Really, who thought this would be good? But it is so incredibly bad; it is a definite must see.
I know who killed me-2007
This movie had a great plot about twins that can feel and experience the same things when they are apart from each other. However, it seemed as if this movie was more focused on Lindsay Lohan’s breasts than the actual plot, which in the end, made no sense at all.
A movie that firmly gripped every negative stereotype about black culture and put them on an airplane; it was as if this movie was actually trying its very hardest to be the worst movies ever created. This movie not only lacked a plot but proved itself to be a disgrace to all black people.
A new age Cinderella story about an orphan who is a great singer is discovered by a club owner and gets her a record deal. While this may sound cute, there is nothing cute about Mariah Carey’s terrible acting. It did nothing to help this already feeble plot.
Everyone who is tired of being tricked by M. Night Shyamalan’s movies say, “I”! This director has a knack for making the trailers for his movies seem incredibly interesting and then putting some ridiculous twist in the end. For example this movie starring Mark Wahlberg is about the plants in the US tired of being destroyed, start expelling fumes that make humans want to kill themselves. While the plot is completely ridiculous, the title itself is ambiguous enough to get people to watch this crap.
Snakes on a plane-2006
Samuel L. Jackson has a knack for choosing horrible movies to be in. From “The Spirit” to “Soul Men”, but nothing is as bad as snakes on a plane. Not only is this plot unrealistic but has no point whatsoever. But it is very amusing watching it just to see how annoyed Jackson gets at all the snakes.
While bad movies have existed since the beginning of time, it is those movies that help us appreciate the great ones. So next time someone suggests a movie that is on this list, go ahead and watch. Just because a movie is bad, doesn’t mean it isn’t entertaining. J
