Schools throughout Mountain View are inviting parents to attend Stanford University’s Education Program for Gifted Youth (EPGY) presentation on November 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Stanford University’s School of Education Auditorium, 485 Lasuen Mall, Stanford.
The presentation is for Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) students and their families. Experts from EPGY will answer questions, and provide information and resources, and offer additional GATE opportunities. EPGY is a program at Stanford University that offers computer based distance learning program for Gifted Youth. The program has open enrollment and is open to students of all ages and from all over the world. Students enrolled in an EPGY course learn at their own pace and curriculum is individualized for each student.
The Mountain View Whisman School District has an annual budget of $33,000 for GATE education. To see if your student is eligible for GATE education, visit www.mvwsd.org to complete an application.
