This StarCraft 2 unit guide will cover the Terran Orbital Command building. The Terran Orbital Command is an upgraded version of the Command Center new to StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty that augments a Terran base with added abilities. The abilities available to the Orbital Command are some of the most useful in fast paced melee games, and can often make the difference between winning and losing depending on how well the abilities are used. Like the Command Center, the Orbital Command can still lift off, however, it cannot load SCVs due to the space being used up by the extra logistics.
The Orbital Command is unlocked in the StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty campaign through an upgrade purchased from the Hyperion armory.
The abilities given by the Orbital Command are its greatest strength, from increasing resource harvesting to assisting with scouting operations, ability to reveal cloaked/burrowed units anywhere on the map temporarily, and to exchange energy for 8 extra supplies, essential giving a mineral free alternative to building additional Supply Depots. The Orbital Command is built for getting Terran players out of a pinch, and the conditions of solvable problems can be varied.
