This StarCraft 2 unit guide will cover the Terran Ghost unit. The Ghost is available in multiplayer, and serves as an alternative to the Specter if the player sides with Nova over Tosh. The Terran Ghost in StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty comes equipped with a C-10 canister rifle, Hostile environment suit and several abilities that give the Ghost a special ops role. Their ability to Cloak is one of their biggest upfront benefits, draining the Ghost’s energy reserves to stay hidden from enemies, lest detected by special buildings or units. Ghosts are also capable of calling down Nukes built at a Ghost Academy, along with using the Snipe ability to deal quick, high damage to biological units, and the EMP Shot wich will drain shields and energy from units in a small area.
The Terran Ghost is unlocked in the StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty mission ‘Ghost of a Chance’
The Ghost is considered highly effective against units such as High Templar, Immortals and Mutalisks while weak against melee units such as Zerglings and Zealots, not to mention Stalkers or Banshees. When cloaked, care must be taken to avoid detectors, lest their position be revealed, and Ghosts are not exactly capable of taking much damage, considering their high cost, although Medivac or Medic support would be greatly beneficial to a group of them. Their range is another great strength of the Ghost, and should be taken full advantage of.
