All publicity is good publicity or so it is said. Stephen Hawking and Tony Blair certainly seem to think so.
Famous theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking now says in his new book co-written with Leonard Mlodinow, “The Grand Design,” scheduled for release in September 2010 that definitely that God did not create the universe or spark the Big Bang.
Do you agree or disagree with Stephen Hawking about the role of God in creation?
This has caused an outrage in the United Kingdom among the religious, but atheists are probably delighted to have some back up for their beliefs.
Personally I feel it is just another angle to get the book into the best sellers list, all publicity is good publicity or so it is said. Stephen Hawking is a master at getting publicity, love him or hate him this man is near enough impossible to ignore.
It always amazes me how people go out and buy books written by celebrities even when they don’t like the particular celebrity. All they are doing is putting money into the pockets of people they either do not like or disagree with the views/opinions of. This to me seems absolutely crazy.
Ex British Prime Minister Tony Blair is promoting his memoirs right now. The garrulous verbal and written excrement of brown nosing he is performing for the American audience is quite sickening, he is so over the top in his outrageously complimentary comments on the past and present American presidents that it is truly laughable, if this helps sell his book is debatable, but I have no doubt that it will hit the best sellers list in America as it has in the United Kingdom in no time.
Take a look at this quote from the MailOnline.
Start Quote:
“Tony Blair has penned a love letter to America in the introduction to the U.S. edition of his memoirs.”
End quote.
Tony Blair is, in the opinion of a high percentage of the British, one of the greediest people out there, who in the opinion of many British Citizens has sold the country down the river. Many are wondering why anyone would want to buy his memoirs and put money in his pocket, it remains to be seen if the American public will be hoodwinked by this little man’s flattery or not.
Do you agree or disagree with Tony Blair’s brown nosing to the Americans in order to sell his memoirs?
If it is right or not for authors to promote their books in such outrageous ways is arguable. What do you think is the best way to go about getting publicity for any book? Is there really any right or wrong way or is it all just fine?
