All my life I looked at my feet. As a teenager I walked with my head down. I always thought that I was watching where I was going so I wouldn’t be embarrassed by falling or tripping over something. My head was down so I could see my way. Well, I didn’t realize that I was looking down trying to take care of my own life, when there was a higher power in control.
I had to stop looking at my feet. You have to stop looking at your feet. There was a realization that shows that you, or I, are not in control. Time to look up, and SEE what life is throwing at us, AND put on our armor to get through.
What is the realization in the need to stop looking at your feet?
First thing is the one sign of insecurity is the person that walks and looks at their feet. The problem of this is that this person has walked in these steps their entire life. If no one catches it at a young age, a girl or a boy will have some strong insecurity in their lives. This person is not totally insecure for the most part, but this person doesn’t trust what is on the inside of them to move forward. This person doesn’t trust a soul, or a being. What I am getting at is the higher power. Cutting to the chase, God is in the lead.
An insecure person is not going to know how to allow God to lead, and they follow. Why? Their insecurities tell them they are weak for letting God in their lives. They are looking at their feet to control their steps. Looking at your feet means you are trusting in yourself to make the right moves the right steps and make the right decisions. Yet, this also means you do not know who you are; most people of the world don’t’ and it is truly sad!
The second thing is realizing that your walk isn’t ordered by you anyway! Yes, yes, slap yourself, and get it together. You did NOTHING to create the steps, or the plan to get the steps started. You can say you were born of such and such but who/what allowed you to be chosen to be born? The breath of life in you was not given by your mother, but by your father in heaven. It wasn’t up to you when you were baby to leave heaven and go to the parents you have right now. NOT ABOUT YOU. Yet, you have to consider since you didn’t have control in coming down here, you don’t have control of your life while here.
Stop looking at your feet.
So, who breathed life into you and said okay Sara, you can leave the comforts of heaven to go down to earth. God did. So now that the momma and the daddy do not decide/choose/ make a mistake to abort you, you are living. Although they chose not to abort you, God knew they would make the right decision. Who knew one day that I would make a few choices that would be questionable in life, but the reality is, GOD breathed life into all of us and here we are. What does that mean about you looking at you feet? If God intended for you to be here for a purpose, you best believe HE has kept you here for that very reason. So, what keeps you looking at your feet? What gives you the idea that you forcing your head to the ground are going to help God in anyway to produce the plan he has for you.
There is nothing you can do, but stop looking at your feet.
What is next in relinquishing control? In regards to your life, you don’t own it. You are on borrowed time. Whether you follow God, or follow the devil, you don’t own your life. Yet, everything you do is by choice. Choices from the realization of who you are, and what you want from life. The choices you make help you realize who is really in control. What is that for you? Everything. Even if you did not have the full use of your limbs, God still doesn’t need your help. He wants you to look at HIM, and trust IN HIM. If you don’t trust, and believe in that you can not see, you will never go further in life than you are right now. If you are nowhere, buy a house there and become the neighborhood watch captain.
So, your realization in all of this is to stop looking at your feet. Take your mind off of you and start trusting in GOD! He’s got your LIFE!
