When you walk into Grace church it feels intimate, warm and friendly. It feels like you’re with family. People really seem to know each other.
The folks at Grace church have been getting to know each other for five years now. Some of them met at a nearby college when Pastor Sean Sears was teaching them about the Bible. Others have come from Stoughton, Randolph, Canton and other neighboring towns to develop relationships with each other while strengthening their relationship with God.
Pastor Sean says “We are friends and neighbors who have found Grace Church to be a safe place to take the next step in our walk with God. We get together to celebrate the love of God found in the sacrifice Jesus made for us.”
“We recognize all of our blessings are to be used to be a blessing to others. If you’re looking for friends who love God and their neighbors, this is the place. If you’re looking for a place that’s kid-friendly that your family will love, this is the place!”
SERVE: Grace Church enjoys reaching out to friends and neighbors in the community to help and be a blessing to them. Here are some of the ways Grace church gives back to our families and neighborhoods:
Movie nights in the Park – They show a current, family-friendly movie at Halloran Park in Stoughton and Linwood Park in Randolph. There are lots of fun-filled free activities including moonwalks, an obstacle course and face painting with all-you-can-eat popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones and more!
Trunk or Treat – The church parking lot is filled with cars all dressed up! Each trunk has a different theme and the families enjoy passing out candy and treats to the kids. They offer warm refreshments, cookies and a fun moonwalk.
Marriage Workshop – This was a free seminar that was open to the public to help strengthen marriages. Pastor Don and Sheryl Rooks, who are also marriage counselors, met with each couple for a full hour to discuss problems and solutions.
Small Groups – These are intimate groups in your area designed to help members and visitors get to know each other better. This summer Associate Pastor Ken Knott and his wife Cara hosted an amazing Luau for all the small groups to gather and socialize!
Clothes Closet – This is an outreach to help families in need. If you or someone you know is in need of clothing, call the church office for help.
At Grace church, you’ll learn how to grow and develop your relationship with God. The church is growing as well. On this fifth anniversary, November 7th, 2010, Grace church celebrates growth! They have more than doubled in size in the last 2 years and have expanded to 2 convenient services at 9 and 11am on Sunday mornings. They offer a beautiful nursery for infants and classes for preschoolers up through 5th grade. They have weekly youth group meetings for middle- and high-schoolers. They also have a wonderful contemporary worship team lead by Linda Embardo.
“At Grace Church our aim is to love as Jesus loved, to serve others the way He served and to grow in our relationship with Jesus and others.” You’re invited to come as you are. Don’t have a Bible? Don’t worry, there are plenty on the back table … free for the taking.
Grace Church is located at 421 Page Street in Stoughton, MA. You may reach them at 781.297.2970.
