You may have noticed the large group of people tying themselves into knots Yoga-style down on Pier 6 the last few Thursdays. These guys are not ninja’s in training, contrary to common belief, but in fact taking advantage of a pretty awesome program called Sunset Pilates on Pier 6.
This title of course is horribly misleading, because it isn’t Pilates every Sunset or only at sunset, but is in fact every Thursday from 6-7pm from September 9th through November 4th. Although “Sunset Pilates on Pier 6” is a bit more succinct of a moniker, if not totally and absolutely informative.
If you notice that date range you may also notice that we are in fact nearing the end of the “Pilates On Thursdays from 6-7pm on Pier 6 until November 4th” season. Which is a shame, but also an opportunity, because it means that there are, including this coming Thursday the 21st, three more sessions to be had.
Three sessions will go a long way towards progressing your ninja training, in case that is what your goal is, although there are many other benefits to free Pilates too. Like, not spending money for an hour while enjoying beautiful sunset cityscapes and presumably nice people.
So if you are at all inclined towards tying yourself in knots in a setting like this, hop on down to Pier 6 for one or all of the final 2010 sessions. All you have to do is sign a waiver (available here) and promise not to laugh at me.
