Wednesday night on CBS’ Survivor: Nicaragua, the merged Libertad tribe endured heavy rains and a devastating fire at their campsite. Plus, the tables turned quickly for one player.
This week’s rewards challenge requires the tribe to break into 2 teams. The Blue team is Chase, Kelly, Jane, Nay and Fabio. The Yellow team is Sash, Holly, Brenda, Dan and Benry.
The teams must utilize 10 feet of rope, 2 planks and barrels to make their way across a path without touching the ground. The reward? A helicopter rode to a volcano for some volcano boarding (who knew?) and a yummy feast of pizza, soft drinks and chocolate brownies.
The Blue team wins the rewards challenge.
Meanwhile the losing team heads back to camp to find their camp is gone. Well, their machetes, tomatoes and eggplants are, anyway. After the heavy rains their barricade, meant to protect the fire, caught fire. Gone are their wooden chests and the food that was in them.
Later Naonka backstabs Brenda by telling Fabio it’s time to get Brenda out. The ever-loyal Chase tells Brenda that her peeps- headed by Nay- are gunning for her.
It’s immunity challenge time and time for the return of Superwoman. The tribe mates must hold on to a rope- forever. They must keep their hands below the specified know, while dangling over water. Last person standing- or should I say dangling- wins
Sash, Kelly and Holy fall into the water quickly. Next it’s Brendan, Dan, Fabio, Nay and Benry.
With only Jane and Chase left, Chase assures her he’s feeling “secure”. Jane complains that her fingers are cramping and says she is ready to let go.
But wait- Host Jeff Probst tells her, “Don’t you dare!”
Amazingly- as if on cue- Chase falls. off Jane- the oldest woman on the tribe- wins this physical challenge and is safe from elimination this week.
Before tribal, Sash is worried for Brenda and even considers playing the idol in order to save her. Wonder when that piece was taped. Sash eventually shows his true colors, but more about that in a sec.
The jury is here- all two of ’em. Alina looking healthy and fit and a clean shaven Marty. Man- he’s almost unrecognizable. Looks much younger. Perhaps looking like an old dude was part of his strategy, because he just lost about 10 years!
When it comes to the vote, Brenda is eliminated. Both Nay and Sash- Brenda’s former buddies- vote her out.
