Wednesday night on CBS’ Survivor: Nicaragua, the Espada and La Flor tribes got fat and happy when it was time for the tribes to merge. But one player had sour grapes and took her frustrations out on a sack of flour. So who went home on week 8 of Survivor: Nicaragua?
But first, Puppetmaster Sash tries to plot his next move, while Marty laments that he has no Jill and no idol. And Alina, sensing that the merge is imminent, wants her “Strong 6” to make it to the final 6. But, as Naonka points out, Alina may be GI Jane in her own mind, but she has no army.
Merge of the Tribes
Fabio finds a note with a key while the Espada tribe finds a chest that needs a key. Hmmm…sounds like a merge may be in the making. The tribes join forces to open the chest, which is filled with bread, fruit, salami, nuts, chocolate chip cookies and rum, which some of them glug down right from the jug.
Marty names the new tribe “Libertad”. Meanwhile Nay hides nuts in her bra.
New bonds are formed as Brenda tells Nay that Sash has Marty’s immunity idol, while Chase and Jane bond over their North Carolina roots.
Later, Naonka is ticked that the others have hogged up all her homemade tortillas, leaving her just a small one. She decides to steal the sack of flour and bury it. She also steals a frying pan, fruit and bowls, saying, “It tastes better when it’s stolen……it’s a sweet victory”. Slurp, as she sucks the juice out of a piece of fruit.
Naonka tells Alina that people are gunning for her, and she shares her stolen goods with her.
It’s not long before Fabio notices the bowl and frying pan are missing. Marty notices the flour is gone.
Don don don don….
Holly says she saw Nay with the sack of flour, but Nay lies and says she put it back. Alina convinces her to come clean. Nay tells the group she is innocent, she was merely planning to ration the flour.
Meanwhile, Marty is sick of Jane and the dance that she does every time she catches a fish. He’s also worried about her sad backstory.
The Libertad tribe is now playing for individual immunity. The challenge involves holding two metal handles to put tension on a steel bar. If the bar falls, a tile breaks and that person is out.
Within three seconds, Kelly and Dan are out. Jane wins immunity for the women but decides to keep playing with the boys. In the end, Fabio wins for the men. Both Jane and Fabio are safe from elimination.
As the group heads to Tribal, it’s clear that Marty and Alina are in the hot seat. Alina expresses that she was put in a weird position over Naonka’s food stealing just because she was privy to it. But the idea and execution was all Nay.
No matter. In the end, Alina is voted out anyway.
