The Survivor Nicaragua episode 2 recap comes from the September 22 episode. The Survivor Nicaragua episode 2 recap includes the second cast member getting voted off the show during an all new tribal council. During the first episode of the season, it was Eve that was voted off of the older tribe at the first tribal council. During that first episode all 20 of the cast members were split up into two tribes, one with everyone older than 40 called the Espada tribe, and everyone younger than that was part of the La Flor tribe. They competed in two challenges during the first episode, with the first immunity challenge victory going to the younger La Flor tribe, protecting them all for at least the first week.
Survivor Nicaragua Episode 2 Recap
The Espada tribe opened the episode, with of course the aftermath of Eve leaving the tribe. The first major problem facing the tribe seemed to be sleep deprivation though, as they had not created a very good structure to sleep at night, and nobody was getting enough of it. Jimmy Johnson stepped up again as the leader during a morning meeting, but again it seemed like the tribe was heading into disarray as they tried to figure out which steps to take first. Others rolled along with what Johnson had to say, figuring that if he messed anything up, it would be a great place to jump in and try to get him voted off if they were to lose another challenge soon.
Over at the La Flor tribe, some alliances were starting to form in appearances at least, as talk started to take place between the more vocal members. Naonka and Sash formed a quick alliance, at least for now, and talked about how they would love to help all the minorities get to the end of the show. Sash felt that he could help dominate the game (his statement to the cameras) and the two of them started working out who they wanted to help get to the finals, and which ones needed to be targeted early for getting voted out of the show at tribal council. That’s not too much of a surprise, because these types of alliances often form early, but don’t always end up getting people to the finals like they are expecting.
Dan discovered that his alligator shoes went missing, but it was one of the women that he had made fun of that took them and put them into the water. Holly was that woman, who had heard Dan making fun of her, and filled them with sand before putting them in the water. Holly ended up feeling bad about it though, and came clean to Dan and the rest of the tribe about it. Unfortunately everyone else started to think that she was getting a bit crazy, and it looked like she had virtually turned the tribe against herself by being too honest about the situation.
Survivor Nicaragua Episode 2 Immunity Challenge
The two tribes were playing for a reward as well as immunity, with a tarp to help their shelter or a fishing kit as their two choices. The challenge this week was to have three tribe members go through an obstacle course to a stack of hay that had a ball in it. They then took their ball further down the course to another team member that then had to get those balls through the air to the final stage. Upon hearing that, the older tribe decided to use their Medallion of Power, and was able to gain the advantage of having to compete with one less player and have one ball at the end of the course.
The younger tribe caught up and passed the older tribe in the first stage, removing the advantage very early on the course. The older tribe caught them in the second stage though, as Tyrone was awesome at getting the balls into a final barrel before the younger tribe could do it. It meant that the older tribe (Espada) won the immunity challenge, and they decided to take the fishing gear as their prize. That also meant that La Flor would be heading to tribal council for the first time this season.
Survivor Nicaragua Individual Immunity Idols
In that fishing gear was a clue to the first hidden immunity idol for that particular tribe. It meant that clues were now out in the open for both tribes.
Back at camp Jill and found the immunity idol, setting them up with a huge advantage going forward.
Survivor Nicaragua Episode 2 Tribal Council
The second tribal council ended up being a tribe exploding, as everything seemed to come apart at the seems as La Flor started arguing amongst themselves. The tribe appears very divided, and this was the first time that the tribe had even had to face any type of stress. Shannon caved under that pressure, at one point making homophobic comments, and at another point railing on some of the people that might have voted to keep him around.
The vote came down to Brenda and Shannon, with the tribe seemingly split on who they wanted to send home. In the end, it was Shannon that became the second person voted out of Survivor Nicaragua.
