The Survivor Nicaragua cast has more to think and deal with than each other. There are countless other things the Survivor Nicaragua cast has to deal with. The elements for one and nature being the other that is all of the life forms that are native to this region.
Nicaragua has many species of insects and wildlife that are not native to the United States. Some of these can cause great bodily harm like Jaguars and snakes. Holly Hoffman a contestant on Survivor Nicaragua was recently bitten by a beetle of some sort.
Some of the venomous snakes found in the area are coral snakes, Rattle snakes, and in the ocean the yellow belly sea snake or pelagic sea snake can sometimes be present. The coral snakes and the sea snake are generally not aggressive and will not attack unless provoked. The coral snake however is deadly the sea snake is also venomous. The Rattle snake however is territorial and will strike if someone comes to close.
This might be something to think about for the cast members when digging around in the brush for the hidden immunity idol. I am sure the cast members are trained in what to do if someone were to be bitten by a venomous serpent.
The other things that like to come close to the beaches are the jaguars they are basically timid and will not attack unless they are provoked. The spiders in the region for the most part that venture toward the beaches are the tarantulas they are not poison but they sure can bite hard. Hard enough to let someone know they were bitten any way.
All of this combined with what the cast of survivor goes through should have much to do with the sleep patterns of these individuals. Mosquitoes and other insects alone would have been enough for sleepless nights with out wandering what else might be biting an individual.
Survivor Nicaragua cast members will be in for one wild life adventure after another.
