The first season of Haven premiered on the SyFy channel Friday, July 9th at 10 pm. This show is a SyFy original and is based on Stephen King’s book The Colorado Kid. We were introduced to FBI Agent Audrey Parker (Emily Rose), Nathan Wuornos (Lucas Bryant), Duke Crocker (Eric Balfour) and the mysterious small town known as Haven, Maine.
FBI Agent Audrey Parker is led to Haven, Maine on a case. However, she stays for many other cases. She starts to see all the weird things happening amongst Haven and its residents and goes to work to fight crime and strange happenings with Nathan Wuornos of the Haven Police Department.
She realizes it’s not the town of Haven causing the strange encounters but the residents of its peaceful little town. The questions of why and how is often asked within this strange Stephen King community.
Audrey meets many locals in Haven and finds out through experience which bakery has the best pastries in town. One town local she meets is Duke Crocker. He is a charming man who imports and exports goods for others often not knowing what he is shipping.
She also discovers a few things about herself while residing in Haven, Maine. She realizes she looks like a woman named Lucy Ripley from a newspaper article printed several years back in Haven’s local newspaper. The article was about The Colorado Kid and raises many questions for Audrey. She comes to think that this woman and the town of Haven may be the link to her missing past.

October 7, 2010 it was announced that Haven will begin filming for its second season in the spring of 2011 in Nova Scotia where season one was filmed. This upcoming season will be a 13 episode season just like the first. Haven hopes to appear on our televisions in the summer of 2011.
