The Cranbrook Institute of Science, located at 39221 Woodward Avenue, will be holding a special day for Cub Scouts on October 2nd. The event is being hosted with the Great Lakes Council Boy Scouts of America and participating Cub scouts will enjoy a three hour adventure.
There are two sessions; the first session begins at 10 a.m. and concludes at 1 p.m., and the other session goes from 2 to 5 p.m. Events for Cub Scout Day include riding a hovercraft, testing DNA, building roller coasters and simulating an archeological dig, among other events. The entire Institute of Science will be closed to the public on this day and the Cub Scouts will be able to explore the museum afterwards for themselves.
