In these days of economic crisis, paying $50.00+ for a movie date seems extreme, yet that’s how much it costs to go to the theater. Most people wait for the movie to go to DVD, but then the theater experience is missed. How can we circumvent the high cost but still enjoy a trip to the theater? Go to Cinema 5!
The theater is a little on the older side, but it is still in reasonably good shape considering that they offer movies at a much lower price than other cinemas. The movies themselves are not the most current releases, but ones that have been in theaters for a month or so, and sometimes it’s possible to find a movie there thats already on its way to DVD. If you’re looking for stadium seating, you aren’t going to find it here, but at $3.00 a seat on all days but Tuesdays, where its $.99 a seat, it’s hard to complain. They offer a reasonable concession stand that is not quite as expensive as traditional theaters, but is just as good.
Located in a little shopping plaza on the corner of Pine Island and McNab road, this theater can be easily overlooked. It’s quite popular, however, so arrive early to get a good parking spot and seat. Also, bring cash, because they don’t take credit.
See you at the movies!
