Tax cuts? We ain’t got no tax cuts! We don’t need no tax cuts. I don’t need to show you no stinkin’ tax cut.
White House employees, 41 strong, owe taxes totaling $381,055.00, an average of $20,269.34. They are a small number among a host of tax delinquent federal employees, active and retired, cited by the Washington Post.
Meanwhile, President Obama and the Democrat controlled Congress must decide how to deal with Bush tax cuts that are set to expire at year’s end. Recent polls indicate that most individual Americans are in favor of tax cuts for themselves, but okay with higher taxes for other Americans.
Washington, we have a problem.
It’s a safe bet to conclude that most of the White House 41 and other slow-paying federal public servants lean toward letting the tax cut for the wealthy expire, while keeping tax cuts for themselves. It’s only right — I mean left. Whatever. It’s one way of closing the income gap between the capitalist and laboring classes, if our capitalists would create some jobs for labor. In America, please. We can’t all work for the government, can we? Who would pay the taxes to fund our salaries? Yeah, I know all those Wall Street geniuses keep jumping back and forth between New York and Washington in both Democrat and Republican administrations. That’s because their bosses at Goldman Sachs use the platoon system to keep an eye on their bipartisan political investments.
The gold supply also seems to be shrinking at the White House. President Obama appeared at his recent press conference sans wedding band. Maybe he melted it down and shipped it to Kentucky, so he could assure Ron Paul that there is gold at Fort Knox.
