If ever there was a team in need of a bye week it was the Dallas Cowboys. Now the Cowboys come off their bye week and face the Tennessee Titans on October 10th. The Tennessee Titans are coming off a bitter loss to the Denver Broncos on the home field. The Tennessee Titans led the Denver Broncos until late in the fourth quarter 20-16 and eventually lost 26-20.
Tennessee Titans Defense vs Dallas Cowboys Offense
One of the biggest surprises of the 2010 NFL season was the re-emergence of the Tennessee Titans defense. A more aggressive version of the Tennessee Titans on defense has made their mark by punishing their opponents up front and across the middle. Although the Tennessee Titans defense folded late in their game against the Denver Broncos they are still a stout and now angry defense facing the Dallas Cowboys.
Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys offense was improving but their bye week could be ill timed. Rookie Dez Bryant was in need of a bye to heal up but he also needs more real game reps to get into the groove of being a full time NFL receiver. The Dallas Cowboys will also need to get their running game in gear. Felix Jones is the fastest Dallas Cowboys running back out of the backfield and Marion Barber has shown he is not worn out yet. The Tennessee Titans defense will shut down the Dallas Cowboys offense and only allow 17-20 points.
Dallas Cowboys Defense vs Tennessee Titans Offense
The Dallas Cowboys defense has been hit or miss to this point of the NFL season. The injury to DeMarcus Ware has affected the Dallas Cowboys defense more than anyone would have believed. If Ware can heal over the bye week the Dallas Cowboys should be in better shape for this game against the Tennessee Titans.
Vince Young, the Tennessee Titans quarterback, is also a hot and cold offensive player but his main charge is to stay out of trouble and don’t make mistakes. Chris Johnson is the motor that powers the Tennessee Titans offensive machine and if Johnson runs for 120 yards plus the Tennessee Titans will be in control of this game against the Dallas Cowboys. The Dallas Cowboys defense and the Tennessee Titans offense is a wash, no team has the edge.
