“Ground game?” Hmmmm, doesn’t that mean when your team tries to rush the ball? Let your tailback or fullback carry the load for your offense? No, that’s not right. Lemme see….Wait! The term “ground game” does have one link to the football analogy – it’s done when on offense.
When the polls closed in Nevada we were told immediately that Reid had likely won the election. The minute the polls closed! Now to announce Pelosi won reelection the second the California polls closed is cool cause her reelection was a lock as were many election results, but not, not, not the Reid/Angle battle in Nevada. Nope, that was supposed to be a really, really close one…a squeaker, as they love to say. So, what happened?
It was the “ground game” stupid! How many know of reports that the “early and absentee” votes in Nevada were so overwhelming for good old “dingy” Harry Reid as Rush coined him? Yepper! The MINUTE the clock struck time for the polls to close Fox went to air with the shocker that Reid was the winner. Remember, this was not a foregone conclusion by any stretch of the imagination. It was supposed to be a hard fought battle. So how does it then end up that Fox can call the winner the second the polls close in a race that polling the day before showed the challenger, the one with NO union support, was up to 4 percentage points ahead? Riddle me that.
I do not remember the exact number but I believe something like “240 thousand” early ballots had been received and I guess tabulated? According to Trueknowledge.com, 2.6 million live in Nevada. In last night’s Reid/Angle Senate race a total of 702,000 give or take a thousand, votes were cast in total for Reid, Angel and 6 unknown’s running as independents. Do some math. 240K of 700K is about 35% of the vote total that, according to Fox News were “early and/or absentee” ballots. Now remember the term “ground game” and tell me it’s all on the up and up.
Absentee balloting is very easy to use to commit fraud in elections. We’ve all heard news reports of Illinois nefarious types being caught with brief cases full of blank absentee ballots. Isn’t it odd that Real Clear Politics last pre-election poll and their ‘going into the election” numbers had Angle up over Reid 48% to 45.3% (see the USA Today link in sources), yet Reid wins 50.2% to Angle’s 44.6%? So from Sunday night when the Real Clear Politics poll (cited on the USA Today link) gives Angle a 3.7% lead, until 24 hours later when Reid wins by 5.6%, WHAT HAPPENED? Anyone got a clue for me here?
That’s right! Ground game!
Ever heard the term “walking around money” in relation to politics and electioneering? It’s a term used to describe cash on hand for “incidentals.” Anyone else hear that the day before the election the Chicago machine had about $1,000,000 in walking around money? Wonder what that’s all about? Lunch for poll workers is it? Yeah, I figured as much. I mean it wasn’t for buying ad time on air – too late for that, so what’s up?
I am not claiming election foul because I have no evidence but for the anecdotal here, but isn’t it odd all the same? Angle leads in the polls by almost three points and loses by more than five? Of course polls can be wrong and are on occasion, but add all the elements together and it seems to me coincidence is a clever excuse and little more.
Here’s my take. “Walking around money” is for buying elections. We all know this is the reality. “Ground game” is unions doing their electioneering thing – buses, lunch for poll workers, and all the rest that is really election fraud. And how is it unions and Democrats seem to always be the ones doing this? Sure unions and Democrats are “butt buddies” – no news there. And their electioneering antics are the same all the time.
I must ask, rhetorically I guess, of the honorable Democrats out there – does this rest well with you? I would rather lose every seat than cheat to win. I want to think the same thing of Democrats rank and file, but they seem to sit back and enjoy the fruits of these activities. In fact some lefty voters justify this stuff with excuses. They surely know this is election fraud, right? Forget left/right, “I’m good, you’re bad,” for a moment. Do rank and file Democrats teach their kids cheating is okay sometimes? If not, then why do they tolerate this? The answer is clear – it’s because they THINK they can’t really do anything to change it, and they enjoy the fruits of the fraudulent labors.
Rank and file Democrats can alter this if they were to expose it, but instead, seemingly they are more happy with the power then they are sickened by how they got the power. I am left with few other rational conclusions. And I don’t think Democrats have a leg to stand on to accuse conservatives of doing it too. For the record, even though conservatives first defended Nixon, after his actions were proven we thought Nixon was a crook and needed to go. That’s honesty and honor. Where is it now?
It seems SOME Democrats will accept election fraud if it strengthens their power. I cannot possibly tell one how disappointed I am by this situation. I know unions cheat. I know politicos of both sides are dirty at the top especially. But for the average man in the street to accept this as “how it’s done” is lending to the moral decay of our nation. Of course the moral decay of the nation is one of the tools of progressives, but remember, I thought Democrats were different then progressives. Am I wrong? Is it okay to cheat if your team wins?
