Thanksgiving meals bring heaviness to the stomach creating a sleepy daze amongst adults as they lounge on the couch afterwards. The family gathers together for board games and to watch television.
While waiting for family to arrive for the feast or after resting after the meal there is always a refreshing need for a beverage. Instead of reaching for the alcohol which could fill the belly before eating and leaving very little room for the year waited desire for turkey, here is another option that is refreshing and light. It gives the body a great little boost to get through the day without the next day hang over.
Sparkling Carbonated Water
Put 1 cup of fresh cranberries in a pot over medium heat. Add ¼ cup of Agave. Stir cranberries with Agave until cranberries begin to pop and dissolve. Remove from heat, set aside and let cool. In a gallon container place lemon slices, fresh mint, ¾ of Spring Water and then ¼ sparkling carbonated water. Pour cranberry mixture into the water. Let the water sit in the fridge for all the flavors to marinate together. Serve over ice with additional sprig of mint. Enjoy!
