There’s nothing like celebrating the holidays – or taking out holiday frustrations – with a little fun and games. Thanksgiving is a time for being grateful and enjoying a feast with family and friends, and on the lighter side, about turkeys, Indians, and Pilgrims. While there are hundreds of games online about Thanksgiving, the selection of online games below stand out among the crowd as being fun for grown-ups, not just kids.
Turkey To Go
This fun Flash game has you dart around a picnic table as a bald turkey. Collect feathers so you can escape and return to the life of a normal turkey. Avoid forks, which will slow you down, and eat corn, which offers power-ups. Several levels of difficulty make this a fun little game to play while waiting for your turkey to cook.
Thanksgiving Coloring Game
Love to color? This interactive online coloring game lets you color six different Thanksgiving images. Bright and colorful, you can even print out their creations when they’re done.
Turkey Fling lets you send a turkey whose goose is cooked as far as you can along one very long picnic table. Pull the turkey back, let him fly, and click your mouse to flap his wings. Collect corn along the way to gain more power to flap your wings and go farther – ending up splatting in potatoes, pie, or worse! A fun and competitive game.
This Is Why You’re Fat: In Sixty Seconds
If you’re opposed to animated turkey guts and gore, or gluttony, this game isn’t for you. If you don’t mind the idea of shooting laser guns at turkeys dressed up as pilgrims, though, you might get a quick kick out of “This Is Why You’re Fat: In Sixty Seconds.” The goal is simply to kill as many turkeys as you can in the time limit. Turkeys break up into smaller turkeys before becoming giblets, and score multipliers can be earned for hitting multiple turkeys at once. At the end, your score gets tallied up as a pilgrim stuffs his face with all the guts and drumsticks you left over.
Turkey Liberation Front
If you enjoy puzzle games, this little story – in which you must set free a turkey while replacing it with a suitable decoy – will have you puzzling over the right items to use to free your feathered friend.
Turkey Got Guts
Another Thanksgiving Shooter, Turkey Got Guts puts you in the shoes of a turkey, out to prevent farmers from making him into a dinner meal. Unlike many “turkey shooters” out there for the holiday, Turkey Got Guts features some more realistic shooting, requiring precise aim, ammo management, and movement (including dodging grenades). However, this animated shooter is a bit graphic – keep it away from the kids.
Hidden Numbers – Thanksgiving Special
If you’d like a calmer, more aesthetic Thanksgiving experience, how about a hidden object search? There are three stages to this hidden object game, each having you hunt down a series of numbers hidden among Thanksgiving scenes. Calm, relaxing, and works your mind a little as you find them all.
