Memories of Mom’s turkey along with her contagious smile and excitement
and, conversations we had that brought me much warmth, love and contentment.
Now that all these things are in the days done by, I strive to make new memories
anticipating warm conversations and laughs with my grown children and their families.
After playing games and carving the turkey with all those who are willing and able
We sit down to eat and share what we are thankful for around our Thanksgiving table
After a new poem or prayer we all delightfully and excitedly dig in
wondering why this meal taste so much better when we all join in.
Time seems to stop as we are lost in those precious moments shared with family.
For this is what matters most during our cherished holidays, especially to me.
Each delightful bite is mixed with so much warmth of family that we even forget the weather.
We laugh and tell jokes feeling the abundance of God’s love because He brought us together.
