The 4th Annual Marsh Madness 10k/5k run/walk is on October 30 at the palo alto baylands (start and finish at the end of Geng Road) to help teens and local youth fight obesity. This event is presented by the Palo Alto Family YMCA in collaboration with the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. Contributions will go directly to programs like the YMCA Activate Youth Program helping low-income students from local elementary schools with fitness and health education. The adult fee is $35 for non-YMCA members and $30 for adult members, and youth fee is $10 for under 17. The Marsh Madness run is open to all ages, and you can register at active.com.

The 10k run starts at 10:20 am and the 5k walk/run starts at 10:25 am. Race packets can be picked up at Fleet Feet Sports on 859 Santa Cruz in Menlo Park on Oct 29 from 10:30 am. Volunteer opportunities are available for pre-event assistant, setup crew, registration and expo assistants and race crew.
