It’s the fifth episode of real people “hurt by the recession,” vying for a spot in the Trump empire. Last week Tyana was fired but she ended up working back in real estate. As winning project manager for the last task, Clint met with business entrepreneur Steve Forbes.
This week the teams had to present a fashion shoe show for Rockport. The men would present women’s shoes and vice versa. Stephanie would be Fortitude’s project manager and Wade would be PM for Octane.
Over at Fortitude Stephanie told the women immediately that they needed to focus on winning not picking each other apart. The ladies all seemed to unite on this. Poppy, Kelly and Liza were assigned the creative part of the task. For the actual runway event Brandy would be MC while Mahsa would make sure about the timing.
The team decided to tell a story about a day in the life of Tristan for the fashion show with each different shoe showcasing a different part of his day. And apparently Tristan only wears underwear throughout the whole day too since the ladies decided to sex up the show this way… no complaints here! They especially liked ogling casting the models who were only in their undies. But when Poppy and Kelly went with a model to buy the show briefs Poppy got so distracted by the male presence that she only bought one pair. Brandy had to go out quickly to buy more. No wonder Donald Trump separates the men and women because if you mix them up they focus on sex rather than the task at hand!
At the actual runway show Brandy pulled everything together with her MC skills. Everyone seemed to like it except Donald Trump.
Over at Octane Wade was being a laid back PM and his team wasn’t sure if he was a good leader. The first mistake was letting both David and Gene share the duties of MC at the show. The guys hadn’t thought up a plan and then the female models showed up and the guys got very distracted. Maybe Trump needs to have a gay Apprentice to prevent this. If there were a team of gay men, they would be on task with this fashion event and would be seeing the female models as models and muses not walking sex eye candy. Anyway Steuart and Anand chose the models and went shopping to pick out outfits for the runway. When the Rockport executive stopped by to check on the progress she was worried about Wade’s execution skills. Later during the team’s dry run the Rockport exec was horrified and Gene wanted to quit as MC.
During the actual event David and Gene decided to just ad lib and have fun. This turned out to be very disastrous. They messed up the models names, the shoe names and the audience was bored.
In the boardroom the teams gathered to see who won the task. Stephanie praised her team and stood by her idea of underwear-only models when Trump questioned that. Trump said the team did well and they were the winners. As the winner Stephanie would get to meet with the CEO and President of Rockport.
As for the men Trump was ready to tear them apart. The men backed up Wade but threw Gene under the bus. But Trump criticized Wade for his poor leadership, decision-making and execution of the task. He wondered why Wade picked Gene as MC and most importantly why he focused on super-unsexy odorless shoes instead of on the gorgeous female models during the show. Trump was so upset with the team that the usual formula of the PM picking two people to come back into the boardroom “where one of you will be fired” was tossed. Trump: “Gene and Wade you’re both fired! Go on get out of here all of you!”
However nowadays Gene is an entrepreneur operating his own assisted living facility and Wade is successful in real estate.
Next week: The women get sexy and David annoys everyone again when teams get tasked to run pedi-cab tours.
