My favorite part of San Francisco is the food! I absolutely love the restaurants I go to. Today I will share my top three favorite restaurants with you. These are my go-to restaurants whenever I don’t feel like trying something new.
Burma Super Star
Location: 309 Clement St
(between 4th Ave & 5th Ave)
San Francisco, CA 94118
Hours: Mon-Sun 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Mon-Thu, Sun 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Fri-Sat 5 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
The name says it all: It’s Burmese, it’s super, and it’s a 5 star restaurant (in taste not fanciness)… Burma Super Star is my all time favorite restaurant. Great for people that think Chinese is too saucy or want something like a Thai fusion. Also a good thing to know about it is don’t get there at 6:30-7:00 thinking your going to get a table! For dinner you should get there between 5:00 and 6:15. For lunch you should be fine between 11:30 and 12:30. My favorite dishes are the lightly fried sesame beef, pumpkin curry, and the tea leaf salad…hmmm! In terms of service they are very nice and extremely educated on the menu. You really can’t go wrong here, so go ahead and try it!
Nick’s Crispy Tacos
Location: 1500 Broadway , San Francisco.
Hours: Daily, 11:30 – 9 p.m.
Are you in the mood for some great Mexican food? If you are then this is the place for you! At this delicious restaurant they do something called Nick’s Way: A flour tortilla with melted cheese on, and then another tortilla that is corn on top of the melted cheese. This also comes with the option of guacamole and sour cream. All of this is an extra 1.50. I highly recommend getting nicks way! All the meats are great, but my favorite is the non grilled chicken (pollo) or carnitas. The burritos and quesadillas are great too but the tacos are really quite something. The only thing is don’t go there on Tuesdays because it is two dollar taco night, and it is PACKED! The bottom line: Even though this place is not in the heart of the mission, they do get the job done very well…And the food is some of the best Mexican I have ever had!
Location: 2877 California St
(between Broderick St & Divisadero St)
Hours: Mon-Fri: 5:00 pm – 9:30 pm
Sat-Sun 4:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Chinese food has been a favorite of mine for a long time, and this restaurant is definitely one of the best. With my favorite dish the Mongolian beef served with lettuce and curly rice crisps, as well as the delicious Eliza’s chow mien, it’s a win-win situation. The only problem I have with this restaurant is it can be slightly saucy at times, but otherwise it is good. Another dish recommendation I have is the mushu pork…Served with a Chinese type of tortilla, as well as pork mixed with vegetables. They wrap it up all together right in front of you….Mmm! So if you are for a nice Chinese restaurant, this just may be it for you!
Thanks for reading about San Francisco restaurants and I hope this info was helpful to you!
