This is a destination for many families and schools during the month of October. It is a full service pumpkin patch, complete with trains, corn mazes and a hayride. The attractions cost $1 – $5 each and park passes are also available.
Uesugi has a lot of entertainment planned for the month of October, including their 20th Annual Pumpkin Weigh Off on October 9 at 1pm. They also have a Marketplace where they sell Halloween decorations and souvenirs. Snacks and pies are available at the Storytime Café. If someone you know has an October birthday or you want to throw an early Halloween party, Uesugi has party options to work with.
Of course, Uesugi also sells pumpkins. This year, they have a new Dora the Explorer pumpkin field. Another neat feature of the farm is their Pumpkin Lab that shows all the different stages in the life cycle of a pumpkin plant.
Parking at Uesugi is free Monday – Friday. On the weekends, parking is $3 per vehicle.

This is a smaller, family-owned farm that is packed full of fun. There are hay rides, corn stalks, hand-painted pumpkins, and a pumpkin patch. Spina farms grows a wide range of produce, including watermelon, onions, and tomatoes.
The farm boasts over 60 different varieties of pumpkins to choose from and even has homemade pumpkin bread available for purchase.

Pick of the Patch has a chain of lots all over the Bay Area, with three in San Jose. All of their patches have bounce houses and slides, bales of hay, and a retail area to purchase snacks and carving kits. There is even an area to take Halloween pictures.
There is a charge to use the bounce houses and to take the Halloween photos. Email the company for current rates. Even though there is a charge, the bounce houses and slides are gigantic and all the kids seem to enjoy them.
Pick of the Patch is able to accommodate birthday parties, tours, and play groups. They offer different packages based on the type of group. Check the website for current deals.
