The Creative Expressions Center is a non-profit in the Denver metro area. They are a non-profit that helps youth express themselves through the arts. The programs involve dancing, singing, acting, photography, painting and much more.
They are sponsored primarily thru the SCFD and the Aurora public schools.
The SCFD is an arts program supported by taxpayers. I firmly believe that the money spent at SCFD the city of Denver receives a handsome return on investment through lower crime rates, higher standard of living, and tourism revenue. My beliefs are backed by many studies that have been conducted on this as well.
They tax .1% of the tax dollars in Denver, and they create $1.7 billion dollars in Arts, culture and science revenue. SCFD is one of the many reasons I love living in the Denver metro area.
The Creative Expressions Center in Denver has a wide range of fun events and activities.
Upcoming events, as I write this article, are the fall festival and a Mommy and Me Tea. For a list of current events, check Creative Expressions Center Website.
After School Programs
The Creative Expressions Center current after school program is called Girls Rock.
Girls Rock is an afterschool program that teaches middle school girls acting, singing, and performing. Along the way they build teamwork, and a sense of community.
Special needs or wheelchairs would never keep a girl from strutting her stuff on the catwalk. Every girl in the ensemble has an incredible amount of talent, and I was very impressed.
The program is sponsored by Aurora Public Schools. They receive a snack right after school, so they can focus on rehearsal for their show.
The Creative Expressions Center has had, and probably will have, many other after school programs. The programs involve photography, painting, acting, singing, and more.
Gina has been running the Creative Expressions Center for years. She has a unique personality and brightness that attracts creativity.
She helps mentor the children and gives them a positive role model to live up to.
She has an incredible passion for the arts, and we are lucky enough to have her spread this energy through the many programs and events The Creative Expression Center offers.
