Want to know how to get skinny? Then do this one thing: starve yourself.
Really! Just starve yourself. Become an anorexic. I’d guarantee you that you will lose at least 50 lbs in a month or less!
Okay, okay, that was sooo wrong! You were probably hoping for something more helpful and less sarcastic. But here’s a fact: what determines whether or not you’ll get skinny is the amount of muscle mass you have.
People who tend to be “skin and bones” don’t just have a low body-fat percentage, but they have little muscle mass. They tend to not have a lot of muscular definition. They are often flat-chested (both guys and gals), with flat bellies, flat butts, narrow hips, bony shoulders, long necks, and are usually tall. They are pretty much straight up and down like a pole. No curves, twists, or anything to grab on.
These people are known as ectomorphs. They are naturally lean with little body fat and little muscle mass. But even if they’ve gained fat weight, they would still look relatively skinny because of the lack of muscles.
If they get fat, they would most likely carry the fat around hips and thighs if they are a female, or around their bellies and chest area if they are guys. Once they lose the extra fat, they would look skinny, even to the point where you’re thinking, “Man, we need to fatten you up!”
However, if you are an endomorph, you’ll have a larger body frame and have more muscle mass. Naturally, you won’t be the skinny type. You would naturally have more fat, but the fat could work well for you if you focus on building muscle. You are naturally curvy with a round booty, shapely hips, big bosoms if you’re a lady, and look “full-figured.” You will NOT get skinny because of the amount of muscles you have.
And if you’re a mesomorph, then you are naturally more athletic with more muscle mass. You have little body fat, so you’ll be the one with the hard-looking body! You will NOT be skinny.
However, if you want to be skinny despite your body type, then just simply starve yourself. Your body will lose water weight, fat weight, and muscle weight. You’ll also lose bone mass, hair, nutrients — and pretty much your whole life. But hey, at least you get to be skinny, right??
Don’t focus on being skinny! Not everybody is physically able to accomplish this. Know what your body type is and work with that. Going for the skinny look is not only stressful, but it could be just down-right deadly!
Dang those magazines with those skinny-minnies on the front cover!
