Hiccup girl is in the news again. After Jennifer Mee was arrested for murder, she did what any smart American would do, she lawyered up. Hiccup girl has more problems than Hiccups and murder. Hiccup girl also has Tourette’s syndrome. Hiccup girl may use a Tourette’s syndrome defense in her upcoming trial for first degree murder.
Jennifer Mee has been taking medicine for Tourette’s and the medicine has made her depressed. Depression makes (an otherwise great gal) hook-up with a couple of guys who are up to no good. Depression makes Jennifer Mee connect with a guy on a social network. Depression makes the Hiccup girl lure this same guy to an abandoned house so her two friends can rob him. Depression can make the Hiccup girl watch as her two friends rob, beat up, and shoot an innocent man.
Tourette’s syndrome is a neurological disorder characterized by involuntary movements called tics. Many Tourette sufferers experience repetitive behaviors. Hiccup girl’s five weeks of hiccupping could have been caused by Tourette’s syndrome. It is also likely; Jennifer Mee could have trouble with hiccups for the rest of her life.
There are many different medications that can be taken to help stop some of the tics caused by Tourette’s syndrome. Some are used for the disorder, while other drugs are used for anxiety and depression which also occurs in many Tourette syndrome sufferers. Some Tourette syndrome sufferers prefer not to take medicine because the medicine affects them more than the disorder.
Hiccup girl was helping Laron Raiford and Lamont Newton find victims who they could rob. They carried a gun just in case they needed to use it. When they tried to rob Shannon Griffin, he fought back and was shot multiple times. All three suspects were at the crime scene. Hiccup girl lured Shannon Griffin to the scene and the two men robbed him, beat him and killed him. To make the situation worse, the killers shot Shannon Griffin multiple times.
Hiccup girl is in jail in St. Petersburg and will not be released until her trial. She is said to be distraught. Her lawyers are looking for a way to defend her and the part she had in the murder of Shannon Griffin. Depression does not give anybody the right to murder another person. Tourette’s syndrome does not give anybody the right to murder another person. Taking drugs does not give a person the right to murder another person. Jennifer Mee is known someone who wants to party and get high on her Facebook page. Jennifer Mee has had trouble for the past two years. The police have been called to protect the Hiccup girl from domestic violence. Hiccup girl has been called in by her mother as a runaway numerous times. One time, somebody called the police because there was blood on the door handle of Mee’s door.
The Hiccup girl seems to have gotten herself involved with the wrong people since she had her fifteen minutes of fame three years ago as the Hiccup girl. Raiford, Newton, and Mee all admitted this was a robbery gone bad and turned into murder. The Hiccup girl had enough sense to know she was involved in a robbery that went bad. How could her lawyers expect to use Tourette’s syndrome as an excuse for her actions? Her lawyers believe Tourette’s syndrome may have played a role in the fatal robbery. This was not a tick. Jennifer Mee talked to the victim online for one week before they decided to meet. This was premeditated robbery that turned into murder.
Remember, all three suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. However, all three have admitted to their crimes. The police have more evidence than they need to convict the Hiccup girl (and her accomplices) for their crimes. The lawyers for Jennifer Mee now have to find a way to lure twelve jurors into a place called reasonable doubt or (in this case) Tourette’s syndrome. Will any normal person really believe a neurological disorder killed Shannon Griffin? Will any normal person really believe depression really killed Shannon Griffin? Probably not, the Hiccup girl and her partners in crime will eventually pay for this crime of first degree murder. Tourette’s syndrome is an innocent neurological disorder.
