David Hasselhoff was the first celebrity to be let go from ABC’s #1 rated show Dancing With The Stars. The long and drawn out 2-hour elimination show didn’t actually go live until the second half-hour. The first hour of the show featured a recap the events the night before, and was great to watch if you stepped out of the room and missed any of the dances from the night before.
It had been rumored that Mike “The Situation” would be the first to go since he only had 5 days to rehearse, being that his reality show “The Jersey Shore” had only finished taping it’s 3rd season one week ago. Instead, “The Situation” lives to see another week.
Hasselhoff had danced a “Cha Cha” with his dance partner Kym the night before to not so terrific reviews. Judge Carrie-Ann Inaba called him a cross between Jerry Springer and Donny Osmond. She also made a reference to all of the facial expressions he was making while he danced. In the end though, the judges were sad to see him go, saying they would have like to see him dance another week.
His daughter’s however, said they were proud of how far their father had come and with the tough competition this year, they would all be hard to beat. Hasselhoff hasn’t kept it a secret that his body is not what it used to be and his joints find it hard to keep up with the ideas he has in his mind. Although he was sad to go, he said he is looking forward to being back for the reunion show in a few months.
