Do you or someone you know have an addiction? Are you or someone you know working on recovering from an addiction? If you said, “yes” to either of these questions then you may greatly benefit from therapist and author Sherry Gaba’s book called, “The Law of Sobriety”.
What made you decide to write the book “Law of Sobriety”?
“The book actually came to me. After working on Celebrity Rehab, building an on camera presence, and getting a buzz out there, the publisher contacted my publicist and asked if I “had a book in me.” I sent them several proposals and The Law of Sobriety was a perfect fit for them.”
What is the “Law of Sobriety” about?
“The Law of Sobriety is the fusing together of the Law of Attraction and Addiction recovery; no matter what the addiction (food, drugs, alcohol, gambling, sex, co-dependency, shopping, etc.). It takes the reader through seven action steps starting with finding your purpose with the intention to learn to let go of resistance and attachment. The book is another approach for individuals looking for a new model of recovery. It is a mixture of positive psychology and cognitive behavioral therapy.”
Who can benefit from reading the “Law of Sobriety”?
“Anyone who has an addiction or knows someone who does can benefit from the Law of Sobriety. It takes the reader on a journey to finding a purpose or calling, and action steps to get there.”
