I was on Drudge and came across an article that mentioned how recently separated combat veterans have skills “that are attractive to right wing extremists.” (see link) Let’s examine the concept of armed right wing extremists.
Let’s look back in our foul and fetid memory banks, okay? Let’s recall just how many “right wing extremists” are out there and the terrible things they’ve done. Clearly there is Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City bombing in April, 1995. There are the Branch Davidians, but that was religion, and yes, they were likely more right then left, that was about religion, alleged child abuse and various other non-political issues, so try and be honest, K lefties? Just this once for me?
Then there is Ruby Ridge. I would surely classify them as right wing, but extremist is a stretch to me, and here’s why. Their is no law preventing armed men and women from hanging out and wearing fatigues. No law against shooting lots of ammo and living in the woods. And last I’d heard, before progressives seized control, it wasn’t illegal to want to be left in peace and autonomy. Of course the Ruby Ridge deal was about more issues, but the mere existence of such people or groups IS NOT a violation of any law. And let’s recall since then the courts have ruled it was the gubment that was wrong, so try and keep that in mind.
Is it illegal to be “armed?” No, it is not. It is not even suspect activity at all. Is it illegal to hang with other armed persons? Nope, another goose egg. Is it illegal to bust tons of caps? Not if local ordinances are not violated. So what is the problem then? Oh, that’s right…it’s the “right wing” that makes them extremists, right?
Let’s now examine the left, shall we? So who were Bill Ayers and his pals? The Weather Underground? Set off bombs and stuff, just like McVeigh. That’s an extremist! Argue for and foment violent revolution? That’s extremist! Wanna “bring down the Man?” That’s extremist! Advocate killing civil authorities, the cops, is extreme!
The New Black Panthers showed up at polls in ’08 with weapons and said “Get ready to be ruled by the black man, cracker.” That’s extremist! The comments of an attendee at the Commie rally in DC on 10-2-10, arguing for and looking forward to “armed revolution” against the “Capitalist class” is extremist! The list of violent, and I mean groups that have actually committed violence, are far more numerous on the left than the right.
The Earth Liberation Front (ELF) is violent. They have committed hundreds of violent acts – it has been all over the news. The Whale Wars peeps act aggressively and endanger the lives of innocents in doing their thing. They are lefties, ya know! Calling fellow Americans with whom one disagrees “racist,” is extreme. Calling them “extremists” for merely having a different political viewpoint is extreme in and of itself, no?
The mere existence of conservative positions is not extreme. Being armed is not extreme. Being with other armed folks is not extreme. Wanting to follow the admonitions of the Founders to resist despotism is not only NOT extreme, but it is in fact, patriotic, at least according to our Founding Fathers. How, in a center-right nation can it be “extreme” to be a right wing type?
30 armed people living in the woods on someone’s legally owned property is not a violation of law, although I would fairly call it odd perhaps, but so what – America is full of “odd” folks and truth is bunches of them vote with their left hands, so “weird” ain’t sufficient to label one anti-American or a danger to the Republic. Were it we’d need to round up a huge number of “odd” lefties.
Wishing to defend our Constitution ain’t weird or odd, and considering the oath I took as a Constitutional Officer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, I SWORE to uphold and defend the Constitution from all enemies FOREIGN and DOMESTIC! Am I a “right wing extremist” for that? If so, then so is every officer of the Republic, every cop, every military person and every politician is too, and remember, even lefties swear the same oath.
I AM NOT a member of any organization, but I am a well armed conservative and I WILL use that condition to protect and defend my Constitution. Is that extreme? Odd. Before progressives not only was that NOT extreme, it was the fact of the matter for most all Americans. Again, we are and always have been a center-right nation.
And if I want to meet with others who feel as I do, that is not at all extreme – for evidence of that, check the Constitution, Bill of Rights, Amendment One, IDIOTS!. My political views are in fact, based on the Gallup poll from two weeks ago – “70% favor the positions of the Tea Party” I am not at all extreme, but in fact am a member of the mainstream, whereas liberalism has only 20% of the nation on its side, so by comparison, isn’t the lefty position the extreme one? I mean in terms of truth and numbers?
Recall friends, I long ago wrote about lefties seizing the nomenclature and defining what is what. Just because lefties have media doing their dirty work of getting out the “word” is not sufficient to prove anything a fact, as according to the left. And now Obama and progressives are attacking the Chamber of Commerce? Is there anything more American than the Chamber of Commerce? See what happens when the left is allowed to define what is what and what is or is not acceptable? They are not my keepers. First one that tries that on me will be one sad sack of excrement.
And I am the “extremist?” For wanting to be left in peace and live exactly according to the Constitution? Better leave me alone or they might get to see just how f-ing extreme I can be. Bet if that were to happen, going forward they’d need no further examples of “extreme.” They’d know EXACTLY what it is! Join me folks. We are the peaceable ones wishing to be left as our Constitution specifies, as is our right and the law. I am more than willing to die defending that right and that lawful concept. Don’t wanna find out if that’s bluff and bluster, better leave me the Hell alone. That’s all I ask – to be left in peace as my Constitution affords me.
Remember, there is nothing more dangerous than a man defending his rights, his home and his family. If that makes me a right wing extremist, okay.
